Crush It Crusade says it is building a nationwide network of zero waste champions, bringing together grantee leaders throughout the year to exchange best practice, navigate challenges and share resources to maximize their hyper-local impact.
Grant Applications Now Open Through September 30
Crush It Crusade will award grants of $4,000-$10,000 to organizations that:
=> Promote recycling at large public-facing community events and/or for a series of public-facing events throughout a season or the year including music, cultural, food and arts festivals;
=> Demonstrate active volunteer engagement
=> Promote inclusive community outreach; and
=> Have achieved consistent or growing event attendance.
Crush It Crusade says it has funded more than 133 community nonprofits, municipalities and local events, park and festival organizers across 35 states to help expand innovative grassroots recycling initiatives since 2014.
The initiative has reached over 3.5 million people across more than 1,790 events and facilities and recycled over 1,430 tons of materials.
