Longmont Students Surprised With Ukulele Donation From Can’d Aid
Music has the power to spark creativity, build confidence, and open doors for young learners—and in early 2025, that power was on full display in Longmont, Colorado.
As highlighted in this Fox 31 feature, Can’d Aid partnered with local volunteers to surprise an elementary school music program in Longmont with a meaningful gift: 60 brand-new ukuleles for students eager to learn, play, and create.
50 Volunteers, 60 Ukuleles, One Powerful Impact
Can’d Aid rallied 50 dedicated volunteers to come together at 3rd Shot Pickleballfor a hands-on build event, assembling 60 ukuleles from start to finish. From carefully stringing each instrument to adding the final details, every volunteer played a role in ensuring these ukuleles were classroom-ready and built to last.
Once completed, the instruments were donated directly to elementary students in Longmont—expanding access to music education and ensuring teachers had the resources they need to engage every child.
Moments like this show what’s possible when community members unite around a shared goal: supporting kids through creativity and learning.
Building Community Through Music
This ukulele build is just one example of how Can’d Aid brings together volunteers, partners, and communities to create real, measurable impact. Whether through music, bikes, or skateboards, the mission remains the same: give kids the tools they need to explore their potential.
We’re grateful to the volunteers who gave their time, the educators who inspire their students every day, and the local partners who help make moments like this possible.
Because when kids have access to music, they gain more than instruments—they gain confidence, creativity, and opportunity.
