160 New Bikes Delivered to Nashville Students Through Partnership with Yasso
This week, Can’d Aid partnered with Yasso to bring joy, movement, and opportunity to students in Nashville through the donation of 160 brand new bikes and helmets.
On May 11, volunteers gathered at 6th & Peabody to assemble the bikes before they were delivered the following day to first and second grade students at Ida B. Wells Elementary School and Tom Joy Elementary School.
For many students, this was their very first bike.
More than just a fun surprise, these bikes represent freedom, confidence, and a reason to spend more time outdoors — exploring their neighborhoods, staying active, and creating screen-free moments of joy and connection.
This event marks the fourth year of partnership between Can’d Aid and Yasso, a collaboration rooted in supporting healthy lifestyles, community engagement, and meaningful experiences for kids and families.
We’re incredibly grateful to the volunteers, educators, and partners who helped make this event possible and to every student whose excitement reminded us why this work matters.
