Giving Back Where It All Began with Kelsey Waldon

Every musician’s story starts somewhere, and for our newest Tunes Ambassador, Kelsey Waldon, that story began in the music classrooms of Ballard Memorial High School.

Born and raised in Monkey’s Eyebrow, KYKelsey understands firsthand the impact that music education in rural communities can have to spark inspiration, learning, creativity, and confidence. Waldon’s family roots in the Bluegrass State date back over ten generations, from tobacco farmers to cattle raisers, and some of her first jobs were in farming and planting tobacco.

That’s why we’re especially excited to celebrate our partnership by awarding a Music Teacher Grant to the marching and concert band program at her alma mater.

Our Music Teacher Grants put funding directly into the hands of music educators because they know their students’ needs better than anyone. Whether it’s purchasing instruments, sheet music, classroom supplies, or other essential resources, these grants give teachers the flexibility to invest where it will make the greatest impact.

By supporting the educators who inspire the next generation of musicians, we’re helping ensure more students have the opportunity to discover their own passion for music—just as Kelsey did.

We’re proud to welcome Kelsey Waldon to the Tunes Ambassador family and grateful to partner with artists who are committed to keeping music alive in schools and communities across the country.
