River Rafting Conservation Trip

We’ve teamed up with River Restoration Adventures for Tomorrow (RRAFT) to host a weekend of floating the Gunnison River and working to restore critical habitats on Aug 5 and 6th.  Wanna’ show a lil’ love for mama Earth? Join us! Volunteering is FREE, but space is limited, so be sure to reserve your space today.  Depending on interest, we may cut the trip down to just one day so that everyone has plenty of time for other activities.

Saturday, August 5th: Conservation project work

10:00am- Meet in Gunnison at volunteer project site (TBD)

10:00-12:00- project work.

-please bring snacks, plenty of water, and suggested project work-wear.

12:00pm- Lunch and Q&A with Briant Wiles, Gunnison Angling Society.

Lunch will be provided by RRAFT

1:00pm-4:00pm continue project work


Sunday, August 6th: Rafting on the Gunnison River!

9:00am- Meet at the Gunnison River North Bridge Put-in

9:00-9:30-Shuttle vehicles to the take-out.

10:00am- Safety talk and launch on the river.

12:30pm- Arrive at the takeout
