100 Bikes to be Donated to First Graders at Jackson Park Elementary School in Kannapolis, NC
WHAT: The CAN’d Aid Foundation, JR Motorsports, and Dale Jr. Foundation have teamed up to build and donate bikes to 100 underprivileged students in NC. The entire first grade class at Jackson Park Elementary, a Title I school in Kannapolis, NC, will receive the bikes after JR Motorsports and Oskar Blues Brewery team members work to build the bikes. Jeff Lenoksy, a world-class professional freeride and trials mountainbike rider, will also treat students to a wheelie-filled stunt demo and bike safety training.
WHEN: Monday, May 22, 9-1130 A.M. JR Motorsports mechanics and Oskar Blues Brewery team members will build bikes.
1-2:00.P.M. Surprise announcement that each 1st grade student will be receiving a new bike. Stunt and bike safety demo by Jeff Lenosky, followed by bike distribution, helmet fitting and seat adjustment

WHY: The donation is funded by the Dale Jr. Foundation in support of the CAN’d Aid Foundation’s TREADS + TRAILS initiative, which focuses on getting people outside and living healthy lifestyles. Since its inception in 2013, more than $2.6 million has been raised to support “do-goodery” efforts.
