CAN’d Aid Donates Instruments to NoLA Public High Schools

WHAT:  The CAN’d Aid Foundation is hosting a hands-on music workshop and donating more than $25,000 in musical instruments (trumpets, trombones, drum kits, clarinets and saxophones) to support public school music programs in New Orleans.

The community and the media is invited to attend the music-filled event with the New Breed Brass Band, where three NOLA public schools will participate: Sophie B. Wright Charter School, Warren Easton Charter High School and KIPP Renaissance High School.

WHEN:  Wednesday, May 3 at 1:30 pm

WHERE:   Sophie B. Wright Charter School, 1426 Napoleon Ave, New     Orleans

The May 3rd event is free and open to the public to attend, students will receive the donated instruments and will play and receive musical instruction from New Orleans’ own New Breed Brass Band.

WHY: This musical contribution is an effort of CAN’d Aid’s TUNES program, which strives to promote music, arts, culture and fuel musical passion.
