5K Trees Planted at Rocky Mountain Tree Fest

May 13, 2017 – Over 250 Colorado volunteers turned out to help reforest the Rockies at CAN’d Aid Foundation’s and Vivax Pros’ 2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Tree Festival. In all, nearly 5,000 trees were planted along riverbeds on the St. Vrain and Big Thompson Rivers in Lyons, CO.  These areas are helping restore critical landscapes that were wiped out in the devastating 2013 floods. Thanks to generous volunteers who provided much needed muscle power, hopefully these saplings will flourish into mighty willow and adler trees real soon!
